The historic victory of Syriza’s Left Europeanism

Abstract

Syriza’s electoral victory on the recent legislative elections in Greece constitutes undoubtedly a historical event in Modern Greek history. Concurrently, Syriza’s victory constitutes a milestone for the European left. The present article argues that Syriza’s distinct left Europeanism has played a very important role in the party’s electoral success.
