Abstract
The architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sectors exert substantial effects on both the environment and the economy, it is considered one of the largest contributors to CO2 emissions. Furthermore, the AEC industries contribute a significant amount of waste. This has led countries to consider the AEC industries as an imperative area of intervention to reduce environmental impacts and thus developed various Green Building Rating Systems (GBRSs) to ensure the sustainability of the industry.
