Abstract
Interpretation of Landsat images oft the. Bahariya region in the n northeastern part of the Western Desert Op Egypt have evealed details of (Pleistocene?) northward-flowing drainage system. Remnotefs. sensed A data wxere compared with bedrock glogy, Structural, stratigraphic and surficial gcologic information, These data suggest that a developed network Of dry : stream courses, playa lake basins, depression, and other. gcomorphic features outline a arger, ancient drainage. system dating back perhaps the Miocene.
