Abstract

Correlations were made betwecn Npullo orhital data and geologic datn from eight map provinces include olt and young dark-c colored INM s (voleanic basalts), and old and young light- basin rim materials, lineated basin cjecta, tracts of ter eolored plains of impact andfor yolcanic origin. Four more ruuged terra provinces are rugged young appear to be mantled, and a province of densely cratered primitive terri indicate that the Laser altimeter measurements, which are used 2 geolopiy cross sections, western (nearside) part of the resion averges about 3 knt o wer in clevation than the castern (farside) part. Gravity data correlate with most geologic provt nu the surface prolites made by the laser altimeter and lunar sounder. Most positive gravity lies correlate with deen. mare-filled basins and negative anomalics correlate with rclatively shallow, h ght- filled basins and craters is of Al: Si and The X-ray fluorescence experiment extr yal Mg:Si over large arens where a single Beologic Pros Fese sare in generaut inversely related, e.g. the mare-free crateres lowest Mu:Si ratios. he inverse relation holds the ighest A-St ansl the awee zh-Mg: Si r 2 E low except where materials may mised Gam 8 relatively low natural radioactivity.
