Abstract
The aim of this article is to discuss Edmund Husserl’s transcendental subjectivity and Martin Heidegger’s Being through a literary work that could prove that the two philosophers are not direct opponents. Both transcendental subjectivity and Being are part of a larger project about phenomenology. The two philosophers’ key concepts about subjectivity, Being and the human experience are the theoretical framework for an analysis of John Keats’s “Ode On a Grecian Urn” in an attempt to integrate two seemingly opposing philosophies to prove that there is room for a dialogue between the two philosophies. The article is divided into two sections: the theoretical framework and Keats’ poem as the application for the theoretical part.
