Abstract
Major air movements at the earth's jurface follow two models: (a) in flat deserts air movements follow high pressure cells (Sahara, Kalahari, Namib, Rub Al Khali and Australia); and (b) in arid areas with alter" nations of flats and mountains air masses are often deflected (Chinese deserts).
