Abstract

The World is rapidly urbanizing.Based on united nations report, it isexpected that the population occupy-ing cities all over the world coulddouble by 2050 to a figure of 6.5 bil-lion. Hereby, several countries areplanning or even started on con-struction of mega housing projects.Both developing and developedcountries are on the track of the con-struction so as to accommodate theirgrowing population. Nowadays, it isplanned to construct mega housingprojects with a cost of 11 billion dol-lars including cities in China, Egypt,Paris, Turkey, and other countries bythe year 2035.New mega housing cities include:Tod Town (China) which will be com-pleted by 2020 with more than 1000houses. New Capital (Egypt) projectcosts 20 billion dollars and includes21 new residential districts enoughhousing for five million peo-ple. Europa City (France) projectwhich is planned to finish by 2024.The new city costs $3.4 billion and isto connect the area with urban Paris.Europa City Project (Berlin) will becomplete by 2025 and covers 4.3million square feet.
